Writing from Sequim Washington

I've received a few comments and questions related to where I now reside, and about my new novel in progress. These days, I write from Sequim, Washington, where the light comes and goes as it pleases, the coffee is strong, and the subject matter tends to run dark—which suits me fine. It's a stones throw from Canada on the Olympic Peninsula.

Regarding my new novel, The Obit Writer, I've finished it -- emphasis on me because I'm only now sending out to publishers with fingers crossed. If I an fortunate enough to engage one, their editors will, no doubt, tell me that I am not yet "finished." I look forward to that process because I am too close to my work to see what it requires. BTW: I am seeking other publishers because MX Publishing in London does not publish contemporary fiction -- only Holmes related stories.
If I am unable to attract a new publisher, I will try my hand at self-publishing -- something I've not yet done. This idea is attractive because I would have control over distribution and pricing and it would likely allow me to connect with new readers.
